A New York City-based developer known for luxury hospitality projects is proposing a high-end residential housing development at a historic estate in Rhinebeck. Charles Blaichman, who is behind a number of the region’s luxury resorts and hotels, including the Hotel Kinsley in Kingston and the Inness in Accord, is now seeking 36 condominium units at 492 Ackert Hook Road. The project has sparked fierce opposition from local residents, who have circulated petitions and spoken out at town meetings.
The community’s amenities include a double-height lobby designed by Andres Escobar and a 24-hour doorman, concierge, live-in super, fitness room, playroom, rooftop terrace, and bike storage room. Units feature oversized wrap-around windows, gourmet kitchens with stainless steel appliances, and large private terraces.
Hudson Condos Communities: What Makes Them So Desirable
At Hudson Condos Communities, a skyscraper that’s been called the most ambitious new neighborhood in Manhattan, buyers can enjoy stunning views of the city and river from their homes. The apartments, which range from studios to four-bedrooms, are located above a restaurant, Equinox gym and service offerings, as well as shops, restaurants and more.
Buyers can also choose from a wide range of customization options from the developer’s in-house design team, whose portfolio includes designs featured in Vogue and Casa Vogue. All units have ample storage, with two-car garages and multiple linen closets, as well as energy-efficient features like spray foam insulation, dual pane low-E windows, and a tankless gas water heater.
